These are relatively more expensive than the spider series but around the same price as the Bogner versions. I would go with the newer ones since they have ramped up their processing power and tone in the new models. These are old technology and don't work in today's modeling standards in my opinion. I've had this head for about 3 years and I still havent figured out everything it's capable of. This is mostly because I find something I like and just play for hours on end. I tried a few other brands before this one, I looked at the behrenger v-ampire which had similar effects but the the line 6 was much clearer and it had more effects. It has... The bottome line is that this head is perfect for metal, jazz, country ect ect. It's easy to just add a different cabinet on the bottom (a little twin for jazz, 4 quad-box's for rock)... Oh yeah, one more thing, in the manual there's a diagram that shows that this head can run 8 quadboxs off the one head!!!! If anyone ever trys this please email... [read more on Audiofanzine]
